Anna, daughter of Jake and Misty Parmer and Robert Cooper, will further her education at the University of Mississippi, where she plans to major in marketing with an emphasis on global supply chain management and a minor in business administration. Anna’s career ambition is to work closely with non-profit organizations, moving essential supplies into rural communities while marketing initiatives. Her leadership roles include serving as the vice president of both her class and the National Honor Society (NHS), as well as her involvement in BETA, Student Council, and Mu Alpha Theta. Expanding her community outreach, Anna is also active with the North Oxford Youth Group and Pinelake College, and has participated in leadership programs, including the Trent Lott Leadership Institute and the Junior Leadership Program through the Oxford-Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.
James Garvin, son of James and Peppar Garvin, is another esteemed Salutatorian. He has chosen to attend the University of Alabama at Huntsville, where he intends to major in cybersecurity and minor in business administration. In defining his career path, James has ambitions to secure a position with Lockheed Martin. Throughout his time at Lafayette High School, he participated in both the football and archery teams while also being an active member of NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Additionally, he contributed to the community through his involvement in Operation Fit Nation.
