Lafayette County Food Facilities Excel in Recent Health Inspections, with Majority Earning A Grades

Food Safety Grades are In for Lafayette County!

Hey there, folks of Lafayette County! If you’ve been enjoying some delicious meals this past month, you might be interested in the recent food service inspections that have taken place. The Mississippi Department of Health has been pretty busy, inspecting a total of 70 food facilities in our area between August 1st and August 31st. And the results are in!

Shining Grades and Notable Mentions

Out of the 70 inspections, a whopping 52 facilities have proudly earned an A grade! That’s definitely something to celebrate, as these ratings are a great indicator of the cleanliness and safety of our favorite dining spots. However, it’s worth mentioning that five establishments received B grades, and two were given C grades. But not to worry – the establishments that didn’t quite hit the mark have a chance to improve by correcting their violations.

For those who may not know, the inspection grades are designed to help you make informed choices about where to eat. The A, B, or C ratings reflect whether any critical health violations were found during inspections and whether those violations were corrected. But you won’t have to guess – each restaurant and food facility is required to display their latest inspection results right there for everyone to see!
