The Double Decker Festival, which takes place in Courthouse Square in downtown Oxford on the last Saturday in April each year and is named after the town’s highly visible and beloved authentic English tour bus, attracts over 50,000 people to celebrate and enjoy music from a dozen bands, food from more than 30 vendors, and the work of over 100 artists.

The Blues Festival, which takes place from Friday to Sunday in late July, features a wide range of blues music and artists. On Friday and Saturday, performances are held in a number of locations within the ancient Oxford square. On Sunday, the festival’s headliners perform an outdoor act at the Foxfire Ranch, bringing the event to a close.

On Monday, December 3, 2018, the City of Oxford announced its cooperation with the North Central Mississippi REALTORS to stage the annual Christmas Parade. “An Old-Fashioned Hometown Christmas” is the theme this year.
Santa, local marching bands, dancers, music, and more will be featured in the parade, which will travel a new route. The procession will start at 6:30 p.m. and will go from the Gertrude Ford parking lot through the Square to the OPC Activities Center. The event is open to the public and is free.
