Residents may expect to receive notifications about upcoming elections and key deadlines from the number 80946, which has been verified by the Secretary of State’s Office to ensure it is a legitimate source.

Individuals who receive this initial alert can choose to opt-in for future notifications simply by confirming their subscription. Conversely, if at any point they decide to discontinue these alerts, they have the option to opt-out by sending a “STOP” text. For those who do not receive the first message, they can easily opt-in by texting “MS ELECTIONS” to 80946 and confirming by replying “YES”.
