Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin – Arthur Robert Jensen, known as Art, passed away on Saturday morning, July 19, 2025, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. He was 71 years old.

Born on September 15, 1953, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Art was the son of Marguerite Ann (Warling) Jensen and Arthur George Jensen, both of whom preceded him in death. He was raised in Sheboygan, where he attended St. Clement’s Grade School and South High School, ultimately graduating from West Bend East High School in 1972.

Art served a four-year tour in the United States Navy, taking on the role of Operations Specialist Seaman (OSSN) aboard the USS Little Rock (CLG-4), which served as the flagship for the 6th Fleet in the Mediterranean. His military service involved crucial responsibilities in radar, navigation, and communication systems within the Combat Information Center (CIC).

After his time in the Navy, Art transitioned to a career in radar systems installation on yachts in La Jolla, California. Subsequently, he worked in construction alongside his brother Dave in Boyes Hot Springs, California, before relocating to Arizona to connect with family members. In 1982, Art returned to Sheboygan, resuming work in construction before transitioning to a telecommunications position with Charter Communications, specializing in fiber optics. He continued his work with Charter, which later evolved into AT&T, until his retirement.

Throughout his life, Art served in the Naval Reserves as a member of the Seabees, the Navy’s construction battalion, where he was deployed globally in the capacity of Construction Electrician 3rd Class.

Known for his adventurous spirit, Art enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities, including mountain climbing, rafting, fishing, and camping. He had a unique passion for understanding mechanics, often taking things apart to learn how they functioned and frequently creating enhancements or homebuilt versions of various objects.

Art was recognized for his kindness and his unwavering dedication to family, stepping in as a second father figure to his nephews and nieces following the passing of his brother Michael. He is survived by two sisters, Kathy (Tom) Yarbrough of Oxford, Mississippi, and Patricia (Mike) Sterling of San Anselmo, California, as well as two brothers, Thomas (Carla) Jensen of Sheboygan and David (Cindy) Jensen of Grants Pass, Oregon.
